A week at Chenot Palace Weggis starts with a number: a vitality score, which the hotel describes as an indication of your current rate of biological ageing. It comes from the Chenot Lifestyle Biomarkers® screening, which measures vascular age, minerals and heavy metals, advanced glycation end products and the thickness of the skin’s collagen. The doctor then builds the week’s treatments on the results.
Everything else follows from those findings: consultations with a doctor and a dietician, daily treatments in the spa and the plant-based Chenot Diet.
On Lake Lucerne
What is Chenot Palace Weggis?
The hotel is in Weggis, on the shore of Lake Lucerne, facing the Rigi and Pilatus. A palace from the turn of the last century is joined here to a contemporary new building. There are 97 rooms and suites, gardens and a private beach where guests swim in every season. The hotel calls itself the home of the Chenot Method®.
You can stay at the hotel only on a Chenot programme. It is chosen in advance, before you arrive, and after the first consultation the doctor may suggest changes to it.

Spa and rejuvenation
What the Chenot spa offers
The medical spa covers 5,000 sqm, and the hotel’s team includes more than a hundred medical wellness specialists. In the hotel’s description, it combines precision medicine with traditional Chinese medicine. It has a metabolic and sports laboratory, a whole-body cryochamber at −110 °C, antigravity technologies and an altitude chamber that simulates up to 3,000 metres.
In every detox programme
The signature Chenot hydro-energetic sequence has three steps. First a hydro massage in water with Chenot Elixirs of essential oils, then a wrap of white and green clay with minerals and microalgae, and finally a cooling pressure jet.
Beyond the programme treatments, the spa offers three more areas.
- Face and body. The Chenot signature facial, a cupping facial and massages based on traditional Chinese medicine.
- Medical aesthetics. Non-surgical treatments aimed at a natural look: focused-ultrasound and radiofrequency skin lifting, platelet-rich plasma and hyaluronic acid. The aesthetic doctor prescribes them after an assessment.
- Pool and fitness. A 20-metre indoor pool, a hammam, a sauna, a Technogym gym and a yoga studio.

Day by day
How a week at Chenot runs
In the detox programmes the arrival and departure days have no treatments. The week itself looks like this.
- Arrival day. Check-in from 15:00 on any day of the week, with a detox dinner in the evening.
- Day two. Consultations: the doctor reviews your health and goals and prescribes the treatments, and a dietician assesses your nutrition.
- The days that follow. Treatments on your schedule, the Chenot Diet and free group classes in yoga, aqua therapy and stretching.
- Departure day. No treatments, check-out by 12:00.
Good to know
- During the day, including at breakfast and lunch, guests may wear the Chenot bathrobe. Dinner is smart casual.
- Phones are not used in the restaurant, spa, medical areas, hammam, sauna or pool.

Which programme to choose at Chenot Palace Weggis

Nearby in November
Rachmaninoff nearby: Villa Senar and the Zurich Opera
Can you visit Villa Senar?
Yes, for an event or by arrangement. The villa where Rachmaninoff spent his summers from the early 1930s until 1939 stands on the Hertenstein peninsula, about two kilometres from the hotel. It opens to the public only for ticketed events run by the Serge Rachmaninoff Foundation, and its park closes after 31 October. On Saturday 31 October, at 13:15 or 16:15, the foundation holds a musical introduction to the three Zurich operas in English, with the key arias sung live.
If 31 October does not work
The next public tour is on 29 November, in German, and the foundation arranges private visits on request. Tickets are sold on the foundation’s website.

Rachmaninoff’s three operas in Zurich
Opernhaus Zürich stages Aleko, The Miserly Knight and Francesca da Rimini in a new production. All three are performed in one evening, with two intervals, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, with surtitles in German and English. Zurich is about 50 km from Weggis, roughly 45 minutes to an hour by car.
- Sunday 1 November, 18:00 — premiere, sold out
- Wednesday 4 and 18 November, 19:00
- Sunday 8 November, 19:30
- Sunday 15 November, 19:30 — sold out
- Saturday 21 and 28 November, 19:00
Tickets
We do not sell opera tickets, and neither does the hotel. They are sold on the Opernhaus Zürich website, where you can see which nights still have seats. The sold-out nights above are as listed on 20 October.
