At Chenot Palace Weggis the room is booked together with a programme: only guests following a Chenot programme can stay, for a minimum of seven nights. Set on the shore of Lake Lucerne in Weggis, the hotel calls itself the home of the Chenot Method®. The week combines consultations with a doctor and a nutritionist, diagnostics, six days of treatments and meals on the Chenot Diet®.
The hotel has 97 rooms in nine categories, from the single Nest Room of 21–26 sqm to the Suite of 68–85 sqm with a separate living room and a large terrace. The building is historic, so rooms within one category differ in size and layout. Rooms look out over the lake, the Swiss Alps or the gardens, and many have a balcony or terrace.
The heart of the hotel is a 5,000 sqm medical spa with a team of more than a hundred specialists. The hotel’s signature Advanced Detox programme won World’s Best Detox Programme at the World Spa Awards 2026.
The hotel has gardens and a private beach on the lake. Guests can walk into the centre of Weggis or set off on hikes nearby. Zurich Airport is about 45–50 minutes away by car; the concierge arranges transfers or a limousine from Zurich and Basel airports.
Every programme is built around seven nights and six days of treatments. No treatments are scheduled on the arrival and departure days: the hotel explains that the body needs to be fully relaxed for the detox. The programme is chosen before arrival. After the first consultation the doctor can adjust it, and extra treatments are added at an additional charge. A programme can be booked for up to 14 nights. Accommodation is charged separately from the programme.
Advanced Detox is the signature Chenot programme. As the hotel describes it, it aims at a deep purification of the body and at resetting energy levels and balance. Over the week a guest has 36 diagnostics and treatments: two medical and two nutritional consultations, a body composition analysis, a bio-energetic check-up, energetic massages, hydro-aromatherapy, phyto-mud wraps and hydro-jet treatments. The diet provides about 850 kcal a day.
Recover & Energise, as described by the hotel, targets chronic stress and fatigue. Prevention & Ageing Well combines the detox with high-impact rejuvenation treatments. Sleep Cycles builds on Recover & Energise with treatments timed to the guest’s chronotype to restore natural sleep rhythms. Body Insights & Optimisation is a programme of medical diagnostics and functional tests showing how daily habits affect health.
Every week guests can attend complimentary lectures on sleep, intermittent fasting, caffeine, menopause and exercise. Programme descriptions are given as provided by the hotel; Enjoy Ski is a travel agency and does not give medical advice.
The medical spa covers 5,000 sqm and, as the hotel describes it, blends precision medicine with traditional Chinese medicine. It offers extensive diagnostics and bio-energetic check-ups, a metabolic and sports laboratory, epigenetic profiling, a whole-body cryochamber at −110 °C, antigravity technologies and an altitude chamber simulating up to 3,000 m.
The centre has six departments: Medical, Aesthetic, Hydrotherapy, Human Performance, Medical Aesthetic, and Sports & Fitness. There is also a 20-metre indoor pool, a hammam and a sauna. The restaurant, spa, medical areas, hammam, sauna and pool are phone-free zones.
Complimentary group classes run every day: yoga, aqua therapy and stretching. The gym is equipped by Technogym, and a coach can build a personal programme. Outdoors there is year-round cold-water swimming in the lake, jogging, mountain biking and guided hiking, and the hotel has a private beach. Haircuts, hairstyling, manicures and pedicures are available by appointment.
Dining Room. The restaurant serves the Chenot Diet®: three reduced-calorie, plant-based meals a day. As the hotel describes it, the menu is created by chefs and nutritional scientists to work together with the treatments. All guests follow the diet, and no other diets are offered during the stay. In the daytime, including breakfast and lunch, guests may come in the Chenot bathrobe; the dress code for dinner is sport or smart casual.
Tea Lounge. A lounge with views of the lake and gardens, serving Chenot herbal teas.
Check-in is possible on any day of the week from 3pm, check-out is by 12pm. The hotel admits only programme guests: a companion who is not following a programme cannot stay in the room, and outside visitors are received in the lobby or the Tea Lounge. The official language of the hotel is English; translation for consultations can be arranged on request at an extra charge.
Children and teenagers. Children up to 10 years old can stay only with a nanny who looks after them at all times. Guests aged 16 to 18 can follow a programme when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Triple occupancy requires an extra bed.
Pets. Only small dogs (up to 30 cm) are allowed, one per room, in allocated Classic Rooms on the first floor of La Grande Maison with direct meadow access. A daily fee applies for the dog. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, Tea Lounge, spa, medical areas, pool area or on the beach.
There are indoor and outdoor car parks with limited spaces, so it is best to let the hotel know in advance about a car. Charging stations for electric vehicles are available.
