Kart & Trott Xperience: Pure Speed and Adrenaline

An absolute hit that has been rapidly gaining popularity since its launch, returning for the 2026 season (from July 4 to August 28). The Kart & Trott Xperience is not just a descent; it is a full-fledged mountain attraction often compared to a video game brought to life.
A specially designed 3-kilometer track with a 318-meter vertical drop is laid right in the heart of the Val Thorens mountain bowl. The route is packed with high-speed straightaways, bridges, and sharp turns, revealing 360-degree panoramic views. Participants can choose one of two types of transport to conquer the slope.
The first option is the Mountain Kart. This is a seated three-wheeled mountain kart designed for a maximum sense of speed and racing drive. The low seating position allows you to sharply feel the terrain and every turn. The second option is the All-terrain Scooter (Trott). A powerful standing mountain scooter equipped with serious suspension. It provides a smoother ride, allowing for easy maneuvering, drifting, and even small jumps. The sensations of riding the same track on a kart and a scooter are radically different, which is why many prefer to alternate transport throughout the day.
The start of the route is located at the top station of the 2 Lacs gondola. All necessary equipment, including helmets, is provided on-site. The activity is available for guests aged 12 and over (minimum height 130 cm), but younger children can also enjoy the descent in tandem with an accompanying adult.
La Bee: A Double Flight Over the Valley

For those who prefer the element of air, there is La Bee—a massive 1,800-meter double zipline. The flight takes place at an impressive height of up to 65 meters above the ground. The main feature of La Bee is the ability to share these emotions: two parallel lines allow you to descend simultaneously with a partner or a child.
The start is at an altitude of 2,500 meters, opening up a breathtaking view of the entire valley. The route is divided into three stages, allowing you to fully enjoy the feeling of soaring. The transition from the absolute silence of the high mountains to the whistling of the wind during a high-speed flight leaves one of the most vivid memories of summer in Val Thorens. Access to the zipline is permitted from age 14 (or younger, but strictly accompanied by an adult), making it an excellent choice for a family adventure.
Mountain Biking and e-MTB: From Family Rides to Extreme Downhill

In summer, the Belleville Valley transforms into a mecca for mountain biking enthusiasts. Guests have access to about 120 kilometers of prepared trails of varying difficulty levels.
For experienced riders, there is a full-fledged Bike Park with black downhill routes and technical enduro trails, where steep inclines are combined with natural obstacles. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace and contemplating nature, the e-MTB (electric mountain bike) is the perfect solution. The electric motor erases physical barriers: long ascents that previously required professional training are now easily overcome. This allows you to explore remote corners of the Three Valleys, enjoying views that are usually only accessible by helicopter. Premium-class bicycles are always available at the resort’s rental centers.
Hiking and Trail Running: The Aesthetics of Mountain Trails

Over 100 kilometers of carefully marked hiking trails lie at altitudes ranging from 1,800 to 3,200 meters. Summer trekking in Val Thorens is exceptionally diverse. You can choose a light one-hour walk through blooming alpine meadows or embark on a serious high-altitude hike to the crystal-clear Lac du Lou or the Col de la Chambre pass.
To optimize routes and save energy, it is highly recommended to use the summer lift system (access is granted with the Passeport Ascensionnel). This allows you to immediately reach the desired altitude and dedicate time not to exhausting climbs, but to a comfortable walk with panoramic views. The silence of the summer mountains, interrupted only by the sound of waterfalls and the calls of marmots, is the ideal format for a digital detox and restoring inner balance.
Via Ferrata and Climbing: The Vertical World

A mix of mountaineering and a breathtaking attraction—this is exactly how the Via Ferrata routes in the Belleville Valley can be described. These are specially equipped rocky sections with steel cables, rungs, and suspension bridges that allow you to safely navigate vertical terrain without years of mountaineering training.
For an introduction to the discipline, the Lavassay route is perfect, accessible even to children under the guidance of an experienced guide. Those looking for a more serious challenge should pay attention to the Cochet route. An alternative or addition is the Montagne Aventure park—a large-scale obstacle course over Lake Grenouilles, including Tibetan bridges, ziplines, and a climbing wall. This is an ideal location to test your coordination and overcome a fear of heights in completely safe conditions.
Alpinism Discovery: First Steps on the Glacier

For guests wishing to touch real, rugged alpinism, professional guides from the Bureau des Guides offer entry-level programs. This is a unique opportunity to go beyond the marked trails and find yourself in the zone of eternal snow and ice.
Under the guidance of experts, participants master basic rope techniques, rules for moving in a roped party, and the use of crampons on a glacier. Alpinism Discovery does not require extreme physical fitness but instills a deep respect for the mountains and provides massive emotions from conquering the heights.
Cani-hiking: The Synergy of Human and Nature

An unusual and highly emotional format of trekking—hiking in the company of sled dogs (Huskies or Malamutes). The participant is connected to the dog by a special belt and a shock-absorbing leash. The energy and natural pull of the animal help on the ascents and set the rhythm for the walk.
This is not just a physical activity, but an amazing experience of interacting with animals. The dogs are incredibly friendly and affectionate. The walks take place in the morning hours in picturesque surroundings and are especially popular among families with children.
Bivouac Under the Stars: A Night in the Wild

For a complete immersion in the alpine environment, consider an organized overnight stay in the mountains. Accompanied by a guide, participants head to a high-altitude lake to set up camp.
Dinner by the campfire, billions of stars in the crystal-clear sky (at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, light pollution is practically nonexistent), and a night in a tent—this is an atmospheric experience that contrasts with the familiar comfort of five-star hotels. Such an escape into the wild allows you to reset and feel the true spirit of adventure while remaining within the framework of a safe, organized program.
Onewheel: Technology on Mountain Trails

An eco-friendly and innovative activity—riding a powerful electric unicycle. The Onewheel combines the mechanics of snowboarding, surfing, and an electric scooter. A wide tire with an aggressive tread allows you to confidently navigate dirt mountain trails.
After a short 30-minute initiation with an instructor, the controls become intuitive. The silent gliding along the alpine slopes offers entirely new kinesthetic sensations.
Le Board Sports Complex: Top-Tier Infrastructure

Even in bad weather or on days set aside to rest from extreme sports, it’s impossible to be bored in Val Thorens. The ultra-modern Le Board sports center, located in the very heart of the resort, offers activities for every taste.
It features magnificent indoor and outdoor tennis courts, badminton courts, and an archery area set against the backdrop of mountain peaks. The pearl of the complex is the spacious aquatic area with a large heated pool, waterfalls, hydromassage, and panoramic glazing. Swimming with a view of the glaciers is the perfect conclusion to an action-packed day and the best way to recover your muscles after hiking or downhill riding. For those seeking deeper relaxation, the resort regularly hosts yoga sessions in open areas with mountain views.
Accommodation: Space and Premium Comfort

The concept of Val Thorens implies that luxury does not end at the hotel doorstep. In summer, the famous ski-in/ski-out principle transforms into seamless access to mountain trails and lifts. The resort’s high altitude guarantees that every morning begins with a flawless view from the window, and fresh air fills the rooms.
When choosing accommodation for a summer vacation, it is worth paying attention to properties that provide the maximum level of service and privacy.
