Tignes - Val d’Isère

A common playground

Two close neighbours, Val d’Isère and Tignes, have officially adopted "Tignes - Val d’Isère" as their new brand identity. This designation is the fruit of the two resorts’ continued collaboration and an illustration of all the things we share: the ski area, the bike park, our joint products, positioning and marketing campaigns.

Since 2013, when the "Espace Killy" brand ceased to be used, our resorts have worked closely together to lay the foundations for a shared local strategy. We would like to thank the great skiing champion who lent his name to enable our area to boost its international renown.

Today, our goal is to commit to our two prominent brands and expand their reputation beyond the joint ski area.

Italian cuisine crosses the border to Val d’Isère

Gigi

Nested at more than 2500m of altitude in the Refuge de Solaise, Gigi is the ideal place to enjoy delicious meals and majestic mountain views. Like its Paris and St Tropez- based precursors, Gigi Val d’Isère draws its inspiration from Italian culture and history to create a unique blend of Italian style, hedonism, charm, and extravagance.

Loulou

The new restaurant of Airelles Val d’Isère, Loulou subtly blends Italian flavours with Alpine traditions. Truffle pizza, pistaccio linguine or transalpine stew – Loulou’s menu focuses on seasonal products and rethinks Mediterranean dishes to give them a wintery touch. Its dessert buffet as well as a large sunny terrace are a must!

La Cucùcina

La Cucucina, a brand-new restaurant by La Folie Douce, with its décor in marble, bricks, wood and mosaics is inspired by Italian renaissance artists. Its 100% Italian team creates simple yet hearty dishes using locally sourced French and Italian products. The cherry on the cake in this new restaurant is the stunning view of the Mont Blanc.

Val d’Isère Café

The restaurant is open all day long for breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon snacks and pre-dinner aperitifs. The menu features sweet and savoury pancakes as well as tapas, burgers, salads, and comfort food. The desserts are homomade and very generous, made primarily using local products.

Altiplano 2.0

Altiplano 2.0, the restaurant in the K2 Chogori hotel, serves Peruvian-inspired dishes. Their unusual flavours take diners on a journey from this elegant restaurant to new horizons: mature tomato gazpacho with garlic, ice cream, creatively-cooked meat and fish, and sides such as quinoa or patatas bravas.

Alpin

Mid-way between the ski slopes and the footpaths, the large L’Alpin chalet boasts a south-facing terrace for lunch in the sunshine and a huge log fire for snowy days. Its guests can savour affordable bistro dishes and traditional French and Savoyard cuisine, made using local, seasonal products from small producers.

Le Jean Michel

Located at the foot of the slopes, this new restaurant is open from breakfast to pre-dinner drinks. Here Val d’Isère guests will find a variety of savoury dishes inspired by worldwide cuisines: burgers, American waffles, Asian beef tataki, Italian pasta, and a multitude of sharing platters.

 

Poya

Poya restaurant combines the decor of a mountain chalet with a neo-Baroque style to create a cosy atmosphere with a vintage vibe. Its menu made up mainly of French dishes and delicious cocktails emphasises simple and authentic ingredients supplied by local producers.

 

La Charpenterie

La Charpenterie first opened in 1965 has reinvented itself in 2021 to offer a vibrant cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. There is no menu, but rather a list of chef’s specials, proposed according to the season. The wine list focuses on independent producers. A special attention is paid to the kids’ menu.
