Hotel Hermitage stands at 2,050 m in Breuil-Cervinia, 300 metres from the lifts of the ski area. Five stars, 38 rooms and suites. The Neyroz family opened the house in 1975 and has run it ever since; the hotel has been a member of Relais & Châteaux since 1994.
Rooms with balconies look onto the Matterhorn or the Grandes Murailles ridge. The hotel has the La Chandelle restaurant, a bistro, a bar with a fireplace, a wine cellar in a former stone grotto and a spa with an indoor pool filled from the hotel’s own spring.

La Chandelle. The hotel’s main restaurant: dishes from the Aosta Valley and Piedmont alongside a modern menu, with meat cooked on a large open grill in the dining room. À la carte, tasting and gourmet menus; local and vegetarian dishes, meat and fish according to the day’s market, a cold-cut buffet, cheeses and desserts. The windows look onto the Matterhorn and the larch woods.
Le Bistrot de l’Hermitage. Lunch with a choice between traditional cooking from the Alps, the Aosta Valley and Piedmont, or modern international dishes. In summer, tables are laid in the garden facing the mountains.
The Bar. Aperitifs with finger food, champagne and cocktails, a fireplace, and live music in the evenings.
The Cellar. A cellar in a former stone grotto for private dinners with a dedicated waiter: fondues, pierrade on a Himalayan salt block, Fassone beef. Tastings are held here too; the wine list is put together by Corrado Neyroz and sommelier Simone Grange.
Breakfast. Buffet and à la carte until 10:30am: home-made pastries and desserts, alpine butter, cheeses from local farms, and eggs and omelettes cooked to order.
The spa has a heated indoor pool with whirlpools, filled with water from the hotel’s own spring in Cervinia. There is also a sauna, a Turkish bath, an emotional shower, an ice fountain and a relaxation area serving teas made from mountain herbs. The Technogym fitness room looks out onto the mountains.
Face and body treatments use the Swiss skincare brand Bellefontaine, with which the hotel has an exclusive collaboration. Treatments are tailored to each guest, for men and for women.
For families and groups, the hotel connects neighbouring rooms. The Caterina di Challant apartment on the first floor combines a Prestige Suite with a Classic Room, for up to six people. Families of three or four can take two connecting Classic Rooms; families of four to six, two connecting Deluxe Rooms or two connecting Junior Suites. Balconies face the Matterhorn or the Grandes Murailles.
A Classic Room of 25-30 sqm for two: a king-size bed, a sofa or armchair, and a bathroom with a bathtub or shower. The balcony looks out onto the Matterhorn. Alpine interiors in wood and fabrics.
A Deluxe Room of 35-40 sqm for two or three: a king-size bed and a sofa bed, an armchair, a coffee table, and a spacious bathroom with a bathtub or shower. The balcony has a panoramic mountain view.
A newly designed Junior Suite of 40-45 sqm for up to three guests: a king-size bed and a sofa, large windows, and a home automation system with custom settings. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower or a shower only; some have a separate WC and double basin. The balcony faces the sunny side of the hotel. Some Junior Suites are adapted for guests with reduced mobility and have air conditioning, and they can be connected.
A Prestige Suite of 50 sqm, one of three in the hotel. A lounge with a sofa bed for children, an armchair, a writing desk and a coffee table; a bedroom with a double bed and a walk-in wardrobe. A marble bathroom with a whirlpool bath and a separate shower. A balcony or terrace with a mountain view. Suits a couple or a family of three or four.
A Master Suite of 70-80 sqm: an open-plan space with sofas, armchairs, a writing desk and a fireplace, a walk-in wardrobe and a king-size bed. The bathroom has a double marble basin and a separate shower. The terrace has a panoramic view of the Matterhorn or the Grandes Murailles. In one of the Master Suites the fireplace is decorative and cannot be lit.
