Five restaurants in Courchevel will serve a guest of Aman Le Mélézin their included lunch or dinner. None of the five is inside the hotel. Two stand on a piste, one of those in the next valley, and all five appear on the restaurant list of a single neighbour, Les Airelles.
The hotel’s own kitchens add two more, and one of those opens only in February.
How it works
What half board covers here
Every rate at Aman Le Mélézin includes breakfast and then one more meal a day, lunch or dinner, taken either in the hotel or at one of the partner restaurants. Breakfast is à la carte, in Akari or in the Library.
The partner list is split by time of day, and that split matters more than it sounds: three of the venues take you at lunch, three at dinner, and only one appears on both lists.

Midday
Where to eat lunch on the slopes in Courchevel
Le Chalet de Pierres
- On the Verdons slope, in the Jardin Alpin, Courchevel 1850
- Open daily 10.00–17.00, reopening 5 December 2026
- You ski to the door; it is also reachable by road, which makes it the easy one for a non-skier
- Fondue, a Beaufort tart, truffled pizzas, and a seafood buffet on the terrace. The lounge runs pastries until noon, lobster rolls and truffled croque monsieur from 11.00 to 16.00, then afternoon tea until 17.00
- A children’s play area on the terrace, and a Moncler boutique on the ground floor
La Folie Douce, La Fruitière
- At the intermediate station of the Saulire Express, on the Méribel side
- Open daily 12.00–16.00, cooking by chef Arnaud Nicolas
- Savoyard cooking with a cabaret going on around it: musicians, performers, DJ sets
- It is in the next valley, but reachable by gondola without skis

The third lunch option, La Table des Airelles, is in the village and is the one venue that also takes you at dinner. At midday it lays out a buffet with shellfish and a rotisserie, from 12.15 to 15.00, with a terrace when the sun is out.

Evening
Where to eat dinner in Courchevel 1850
All three dinner addresses are inside the same hotel, Les Airelles, and all three are overseen by its executive chef, Adrien Trouilloud, who took the job in 2023 after a Michelin star at Rech in Paris.
- La Table des Airelles — French and international, 19.00–22.00
- Palladio — an Italian trattoria with Venetian leanings: saffron and tuna arancini, truffle gnocchi, lobster tagliolini. 19.00–22.00
- Le Coin Savoyard — the regional one. Fondue, raclette, Beaufort soufflé, Aravis salad. Daily 19.00–22.00

Of the five, only Le Chalet de Pierres has published an opening date. The others had not published one when we checked at the end of September, so we confirm each before a booking that depends on it.
In the hotel
Japanese food in the middle of the Alps
From December the Japanese kitchen here works under a new name. Akari takes the place Nama held: sashimi, sushi, Wagyu and otoro tuna, and ramen for the end of a cold day. Lunch is 12.00–13.30, dinner 19.00–21.30, and the tables are open to people not staying in the hotel. French dishes come on request.

Yakiniku is the other half, and it lives outdoors. Premium cuts — A4 Wagyu strip loin, house-made Tsubo-Zuke harami, marbled Hanasaki zabuton — are grilled over embers at your own table on the south-facing terrace, directly above the Bellecôte piste, with apple koji, egg yolk soy and shiso miso to go with them. February to April, lunch only, 12.00–14.45, and only when the weather allows. On a bad day the Akari lunch service takes its place indoors.

Between meals
Tea, drinks and the hours in between
- The Library, refurbished in 2025, serves the Akari menu — lunch over the terrace and the slopes, or dinner by the fire
- Tea time goes two ways: a French goûter with waffles and crêpes and a pastry buffet, complimentary for resident guests, and a Japanese tea time with a matcha ceremony every afternoon
- The Bar looks out over the Bellecôte run and the village, pours from what the hotel calls Courchevel’s largest sake and Japanese whisky collection, and has added a menu of light bites this season. A singer and guitarist alternate with a jazz trio
- Cocktail masterclass, Wednesdays at 18.00: three signature drinks and one mocktail, with the recipes to take away
- The Fumoir is the smoking room, with its own cigar list

Deciding
Which table for which day
| If you want | Go to | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Lunch without leaving the piste | Yakiniku, on the hotel terrace | It is on the Bellecôte piste itself, February to April |
| To bring people who do not ski | Le Chalet de Pierres | Road access and a play area on the terrace |
| A long, loud lunch | La Folie Douce, La Fruitière | Cabaret and DJ sets, 12.00–16.00 |
| Fondue once in the week | Le Coin Savoyard | The regional menu of the three at Les Airelles |
| Not to leave the building | Akari, or the Library | The same menu, one by the slopes and one by the fire |
Practicalities
Reaching the mountain tables without skiing
- Le Chalet de Pierres has a road, and the hotel can take you by car
- La Folie Douce is a gondola ride away, on foot at both ends
- Inside the village, the hotel shuttle runs from 07.00 to 01.00 within Courchevel 1850, which covers the journey to Les Airelles and back
- Courchevel 1850 itself starts 200 metres from the hotel door, and the rest of the village — its own restaurants, its boutiques — is on our Courchevel 1850 page
Our view
Who this arrangement suits
- Guests who would rather not eat in the same room seven nights running
- Mixed parties, where somebody skis all day and somebody else takes the gondola up for lunch
- Anyone who wants a week of Alpine food broken up by something that is not cheese
It suits less well if you came for one great kitchen and intend to stay in it: this half board is built around moving between rooms, and its best is spread across the village. What is new this winter at Aman Le Mélézin, including the two dated offers, is in our winter 2026/27 piece.
