Les Arcs - one of the most famous French mountain resorts, located in the heart of the French Alps - the valley of Ot-Tarentaise, the department of Savoy.
The mountain resort of Les Arcs consists of four mountain roads connected by road, named for their height: Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. They have a common network of lifts. The villages are connected by road and ski slopes. Inside the resorts there is no car traffic at all. Slopes for beginners are located most in the area of Arc-1800. On the Arch-1600 m tracks are quite steep, and on the Arc-2000 m in high season tracks might be overcrowded .
How to get there: the airport of Geneva - 161 km, Lyon - 226 km, Grenoble - 158 km, Chambery-x - 129 km.
Trails, slopes, ski lifts (ski area of Paradiski): 425 km of trails for skiing, of which 12 green trails, 135 blue, 77 red and 37 black. The highest point is Aiguille Rouge 3226 m. Height difference: 1200-3250 m.
Cross-country skiing (in association with Pesay-Vallandry): 68 km.
Entertainment: Cinemas, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, bowling (8 tracks), two open skating rinks (in Arc1800 and Arc-2000). An indoor pool and sauna are located in Bourg St. Maurice, town at the altitude of 1000 m.
For children: Kindergarten Les Pomme de Pin (nursery from 1 year to 3 years and garden from 3 to 6 years). In Arc-2000 there is a kindergarten called Les Marmottons.
