Val d’Isère is a commune and ski resort in France, the Department of Savoy, the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region. Located 5 km west of the border with Italy, on the border of the Vanoise National Park, at an altitude of 1850 m. In recent years, Val-d’Izer has significantly improved its infrastructure and received a special "family" sign of quality «Famille Plus». There are four main skiing areas: Solaise, Fornet, Pisaillas, Bellevarde.
Solaise (1850 - 2560) – rising on the chairlift and gondola lift from the central square of Val D’Isere. Fornet (1930 - 2762) and Pisaillas (2762 - 3488) – rising on the pendulum lift from Le Fornet. On the top of the Pte Du Montet glacier is located. Bellevarde (1850 - 2827) – rising on the pendulum lift from Val D’Isere and the gondola lift from La Daille. This zone is famous for its sport trails.
How to get there: From Geneva Airport - 180 km; Lyon airport is 220 km away. The nearest railway station in Bourg-Saint-Maurice is 30 km away.
Trails, slopes, lifts: The total length of the trails is 300 km, of which: 16 green, 33 blue, 23 red, 10 black trails. The longest route is 6 km. The total number of lifts is 78. The height difference is 1550 - 3456 m.
Cross-country skiing: 21 km.
Entertainment: Ice rink, helicopter rides, paragliding, yoga, bike park, sports aqua center, snowpark, scuba diving under the ice cover of the local lake, cooking courses, painting courses, cinema, spa, ice driving and much more.
