Mountain Biking & Bike Park

Courchevel Bike Park and mountain trails (Courchevel 1850 and the valley)

Official reference

Courchevel offers more than 145 km of marked mountain biking trails for all levels. The Bike Park includes downhill tracks, enduro routes, family-friendly paths, pump track and dedicated e-bike itineraries. Riders can access the trails via summer ski lifts and tackle the iconic climb to Col de la Loze.

Lifts open from early July to late August.

Sledge Run Courchevel 1850 – Courchevel Village

Courchevel offers a 2 km sledging run with 300 m vertical drop and an average 15% incline. The entire run is floodlit, allowing evening descents.

Opening hours: 09:00–19:15. Free with a ski pass or pedestrian pass. Children under 6 years old are not permitted.

Via Ferrata

Lac de la Rosière area and other rock faces in Courchevel

Equipped rock routes with ladders, cables, bridges and Nepalese bridges. The family-friendly Via Ferrata at Lac de la Rosière offers stunning lake views. More challenging routes are available for experienced climbers. A perfect mix between hiking and climbing, completely safe with proper equipment.

Season: Summer only (best period July–August).

Equipment rental and guided tours available locally. Recommended for first-timers with a guide.

Dog Sledding

Courchevel 1850 area (forest trails near the resort)

Driven by a professional musher, comfortably seated in the sledge wrapped in a warm blanket while discovering animal tracks in the snowy forest. A unique and memorable winter adventure.

Canyoning & Rafting

Snowshoeing

Courchevel offers 9 marked snowshoeing itineraries suitable for all levels. The routes are graded from green to black, similar to ski slopes, and lead through forests and unspoiled natural landscapes. Snowshoes can be rented locally.

These trails allow visitors to explore the mountain environment away from the ski slopes and discover the winter nature of the Vanoise region. Both self-guided and guided snowshoe tours are available.

Courchevel offers more than 200 km of marked hiking trails in summer, with over 32 carefully selected itineraries. There are easy family-friendly walks (under 2 hours), medium hikes (2–4 hours) and more challenging routes for experienced hikers.

Popular trails include scenic paths with panoramic views, forest walks, and routes leading toward the Vanoise National Park. Detailed hiking maps and guides are available on the official website.

Season: Mainly summer, with some groomed paths also accessible in winter.

Helicopter Flights

Hot Air Balloon Flights

Daily morning flights only (sunrise departures when conditions allow). Strictly weather dependent. Summer service starts from July 4th. Booking in advance is essential.

Le Chabichou is a Michelin-starred restaurant led by Chef Stéphane Buron (Meilleur Ouvrier de France). Every Thursday the kitchen opens for an exclusive and intimate cookery class – a unique “Foodie fun” experience.

Only 3 participants per class have the opportunity to enter the heart of the Michelin-starred kitchen, receive a briefing from the Chef and take part in preparing dishes under the guidance of the team. The experience ends with a delicious 3-course lunch.

The Forum – Ice Skating Training Centre

The Forum is a major multi-purpose sports and leisure centre in the heart of Courchevel 1850. It features a full-size indoor Olympic ice rink, ice-skating training centre, large sports hall, bowling alley and climbing wall.

The venue regularly hosts public and private events: ice-skating galas, concerts, shows, ice hockey matches and other sporting competitions. Skate hire is available on site. It holds the “Famille Plus” family label.

Season: Year-round.

 

Adventure Camp

Courchevel Altiport area (next to the Altiport), Courchevel 1850, at 2,000 m altitude

Official reference

Adventure Camp is the official operator’s dedicated winter activity base located right next to Courchevel Altiport. It offers a variety of exciting and safe snow-based activities on closed, secure tracks in a mountain environment at 2,000 m.

Main activities include snowmobiling on a 700 m closed circuit (1 or 2 people per snowmobile, from 6 years old), snow quad biking on a 250 m safe track (from 8 years old), biathlon shooting, snow rafting and tubing.

Access: directly from the ski slopes or by car/shuttle. Safety equipment and helmets are provided on site.

Opening hours: Daily from 14:00 to 16:30 (subject to snow conditions and weather).
